Last week three of the Pillar team joined forces, in cooking some nutritional family meals, in support of the community non-profit group Kura Kai.
Amanda, Mariska & Tash had a blast in the kitchen together, proving their team work doesn’t just extend to the office. Together they produced 7 dishes of Tuna Penne Pasta for their local Kura Kai facilitator. These yummy, nutritional meals are then distributed across the local area to high school onsite freezers, helping to feed hungry students and their families. The team chose Kura Kai, because the importance of positive community mental wellbeing, affects all facets of society and employment.
So who is Kura Kai?
Kura Kai is a fabulous initiative that was created by local New Zealand influencer Makaia Carr. Makaia recognises the importance of rangatahi (youth) in education having a full puku, in turn helping them to enjoy their time at High School and encouraging them to stay in education longer.
If you want to learn more, or host your own corporate cook off, the Pillar team highly recommend it. It’s great fun and feels fabulous to give back to the local community.
